Browser cannot "see" network.
I've recently had to switch from cable to phoneline broadband, whilst I have no trouble accessing the internet from my laptop my PC is another question. Using XP sp3 (on PC & laptop), the toolbar icon tells me either my wireless connection is connected and good or, if I connect to via ethernet cable, that local area connection is connected. So far so good, but fire up the browser (IE8) and it cannot connect, connectivity check just sugests I check modem/router which I believe is operating satisfactorily. Have followed the settings, advice & troubleshooting from my ISP (virgin media) but no sucess so far. Anybody got any suggestions?Regards, Al.1 person needs an answerI do too

How are you connecting your laptop - wirelessly or via wireless?Do you have a hardware appliance involved - like a Linksys or Netgear wireless router? Or are you just plugging directly into the broadband modem the phone company gave you? What IP addresses do your laptop and desktop computer have?-B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook
